Today I felt full. Its hard to eat when you feel full. But there were times i could feel some pangs, so I'd eat, and i didn't feel the fullness during or after. But not long after that I'd feel full again. Its just pressure baby is putting on everything.
During my last ultrasound the technician measured the baby right on track with progress. I remember with Landon they thought he was measuring really small but then realized it was because I had a tipped uterus. Upon further investigation it was discovered that he was in fact right on track. He was born early and at just over 5 lbs. Kiley measured small for most of the pregnancy, at one point causing fear that there was something wrong. But she out-performed herself on a test and was born a week later than Landon at just over 5 lbs. I'm wondering what this little one has in store for us. They say he/she is measuring right on and i can't help but hope that means I will be able to sustain a longer pregnancy, but I realistically know that might not happen. Still...you never know.
SATURDAY JULY 30
Time to pull some weeds! Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I can't work a little. I love being physically active, no matter what the activity. It was tiring though, and when I'd gotten 3/4 of the way done I decided I'd better sit down and rest. Good thing I stopped right at the back yard where there are comfy chairs and a sweet trampoline where I could be entertained by my two energetic children. Perfect.
I never did finish weed pulling. Tomorrow. For now, family time.
SUNDAY JULY 31
I feel full again today. Could be from the food I ate yesterday, but really I didn't eat that much. We went to a friendly rib fest, but I only had one small plate of fruit, cole slaw and a single rib bone. Then later on I had popcorn. I think its still just some pressure going on inside. Baby's growing!
TUESDAY AUGUST 2
I was given some pretty awesome Asian fruit today from a wonderful friend of mine from Cambodia. He's always introducing me to his culture through goodies. These were super good, look little tiny red sea urchins. But far better tasting, I'm assuming. He told me these fruits are highly recommended for pregnant women because of their dense nutrient content. Score!! He went home during his break and returned with a box full of these silly looking things, so I stocked up.
I haven't been able to workout as much lately as I really wanted. I love getting exercise while pregnant and I feel run down when i neglect that need, so hopefully I can pick that back up again. Right now I'm focusing on yard work, which i surprisingly also love. I get to be outdoors, its another form of exercise, and I reap the benefits of immediate effects on the yard. Right now Mike and I are chopping underneath our monstrous pine trees. Right now their branches lay on the ground and we'd like to see their trunks and the back yard. Its been a lot of work since its overgrown with huge vines. Its a fun project that we've talked about for a while now, so I'm enjoying it! I just have to make sure i don't overexert or get up too fast or pull any branches too hard or contort my body in a weird way. Muscles are super easy to pull during pregnancy, plus I can't let my core temp get too high so I'm always taking breaks. Water is my friend. But in all honestly, I feel amazing. Full of energy and spunk. Its hard, no, impossible for me to sit still and act like a fragile flower when I'm pregnant. Probably because I'm not. My body is strong and my baby is safe. I would never do anything to harm my precious baby! However...i know my limits. Yesterday when i felt hot, i stopped and went indoors to watch a movie with my adorable children. What a perfect night.
