SELF PORTRAIT HOW-TO: I was in a big hurry this week so I decided to focus on my tummy and leave my face out of view. I saved tons of time! Using a tripod I placed the camera about 15 feet away from where I would be standing. I set my flash on the counter facing a piece of whiteboard to bounce light back on to me. Had I pointed it directly at me the light would have been too harsh. I manually focused on an object I had placed on the floor as a marker for where I would be standing. When the shutter was activated, I ran and posed as quickly as possible!

I still have yet to feel any significant symptoms. I think the most obvious one right now is fatigue. When I hold my son, run up the stairs, or even empty the dishwasher I feel as if I ran a 5K. Good thing I run 5K's all the time and can recover quickly from my dishwasher work-outs. I tend to yawn a lot, something I've noticed pick up speed in the past few days.
Once in awhile I feel a very light cramp or stomach "weirdness" but neither is bad. It's hard to me to tell, though, if the stomach feelings are real or being created by my mind to give me a little reassurance that something is going on inside me still. Knowing it's probable that I will be sick for 8 weeks like I was with Landon, I've come to enjoy these relatively symptomless weeks.
Mike told his mom this week. News spreads like wildfire in his family so i'm sure Baby Sesame Seed will be made known before too long!
